I’m running for Mayor of Kentwood because I believe in people over politics, and I believe our city is full of potential.

I’m a proud mom of two, a cancer survivor, a small business owner, and your four-term Kent County Commissioner. I know what it means to work hard, overcome challenges, and keep moving forward. I’ve built businesses from the ground up, including a wellness spa, a consulting firm, and a nonprofit that trains Mental Health Advocates in seven languages. I’ve also helped manage a $624 million budget for over 650,000 residents. I don’t just talk about getting things done; I do the work.

I’ve seen firsthand how strong leadership can change lives. That’s why I created the S.P.A.R.K.S. plan, my vision to build a safer, more inclusive, and opportunity-filled Kentwood. I’m focused on the things that matter most: public safety, affordable housing, support for small businesses, clean neighborhoods, and real partnerships that lift everyone.

I lead with compassion, courage, and a deep love for this community. My door is open, and my feet are already moving. Leadership isn’t about pointing fingers; it’s about showing up, listening, and working together.
